If the school needed to close early whilst the School is in session, due to inclement weather conditions or an emergency such as loss of water supply, a text / email message will be sent to parents. An announcement will be put on the School’s website and Facebook Page. Pupils who would be collected from School or those unable to gain access to their homes will be managed by the School until they can be collected. We will ask students to message you as well so that you are aware.
If the school needed to close following adverse weather conditions or an emergency such as loss of water supply overnight, a decision would be taken as early as possible by the Headteacher which takes into consideration the health and safety and safe access of the pupils and staff and the operation of the school. Parents, pupils and staff will be informed via text message, email, the School’s website and our Facebook Page.
Assume that the school will reopen the following day unless you receive another text or email message to say otherwise.
Should it be recommended to us by the Local Authority outbreak team that we need to close a bubble due to a Covid_19 outbreak we will endeavour to contact you by phone. However, if the number of students who need to self-isolate are too large this will need to be via email or texts. We will notify you of the start and end times of the self-isolation period.
